Definitions
Co-Pay: A set dollar amount you pay for a covered service, such as a doctor visit.
Coinsurance: This is your share of the costs for covered health care services, calculated as a percentage.
Deductible: A set amount of money you pay at first for covered health care services, before your health plan begins paying.
Service Deductible: Similar to your overall deductible, this is a separate dollar amount that you'd pay first for some types of services before your plan begins paying.
Service Limits: Your plan covers some health services only so many times in a year. If you go over that amount you'll need to cover the cost.
